I love the angle on this one, Jon.
Thanks Jess! It was very imposing up close.
Awesome! That's the main thing I miss about the UK ......... all the old architecture and scenery!
I didn't even live there and I miss it. I'm sure you must miss it much more.
it's like a piece of my soul is forever absent
Well, we hold places in our hearts. I carry the essence of many palaces with me, in that I can remember and reimagine them either in words or images. It's part of the magic of being an artist.
So true! Unfortunately, I don't have any photos of home and only a handful of my kids growing up (long story)but, yes, I still have the memories some as vivid as if they happened yesterday
That's sad! Memory is odd the way it works, but I have very clear memories as well.
Yes, to both the sad and the way memory works ........ I had all kinds of photos I was going to send for but for some reason, my other half at the time, walked away from it all (never understood that really! och well ...... there is always a reason for everything even if we don't understand it at the time or ever ....... I am going to badger my family and friends back home one of these days to get some great shots of historical places and scenery (can't recapture the kids growing up unfortunately ......) Love seeing your posts, both pictorial and literary
I'd like to go there too! I'm going to Ireland in July so we'll see what happens!
Oh cool! Well, there are plenty of things to do, and it's a beautiful country. Bring a map with attractions listed and you'll find something fun almost everywhere you go!
I wonder what this would look like in a darker black and white to make it look like night.
Wonderful capture Jon!
Such a nice picture of the castle, you had the right weather for the shot anyway! It looks decidedly eerie when it's raining lol
Thanks, yes it was mixed clouds, so that when the sun WAS obscured I could see how moody and forbidding it could look. Neat place!
